Two civilians were killed and 10 others injured, including a child, on Sunday in a terrorist car bomb attack in the village of Mazraaet Khreis, west of Salamiya city in the central province of Hama.
A Hama Police Command source told SANA that a suicide terrorist driving an armored car packed with explosives infiltrated the village and blew up the car around 3am.
The explosion took place in the middle of a neighborhood consisting of 15 houses, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of 10 others, including a child, in addition to causing the destruction of many houses, the source added.
Director of the Salamiya National Hospital, Nawfal Safar, said that the injured were transported to the hospital where they are receiving the necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, terrorists fired rockets on Mharda city, causing material damage but no injuries.
A SANA reporter quoted a police command source as saying that terrorists fired three rocket shells on the northern neighborhood of Mharda city.
The attack, the source added, caused material damage to the civilian houses.
