U.S. Military and Logistical Reinforcements Enter Eastern Syria

U.S. forces have deployed additional military reinforcements from Iraq to Syrian territory, crossing through the countryside of al-Yarubiyah in the northeast of the country.

According to sources from Athr Prss, the military and logistical convoy in the Yarubiyah countryside comprised 75 vehicles, including refrigerators, tankers, empty tankers, and others loaded with wooden boxes. These vehicles entered through the al-Waleed crossing in the Yarubiyah countryside and assembled at the American base in Kharab al-Jir.

Astana Summit Concludes with Strong Commitment to Syrian Sovereignty and Stability

It is reported that a portion of the convoy is expected to proceed to the US base in the city of al-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakeh, recognized as one of the largest U.S. bases in Syria. Meanwhile, other reinforcements are anticipated to be directed towards various sites and bases in the region.

The arrival of these reinforcements coincides with ongoing exercises conducted by U.S. forces in their eastern Syria bases. Notably, the U.S. Shaddadi base recently hosted joint military exercises on January 24, involving U.S. forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The exercises encompassed airdrops, simulations of hostage liberation, as well as targeting and striking simulated targets.

Furthermore, there have been multiple military movements observed at U.S. bases in eastern Syria, involving the transfer of troops and military vehicles between these bases. Athr Press sources previously noted the landing of three American helicopters at the U.S. base in the Ghwayran neighbourhood, south of the city of Hasakeh. One of these helicopters is designated for troop transport, while the other two are Apache helicopters.

These U.S. military actions in eastern Syria come amid an escalation in the targeting of U.S. bases and headquarters. In the latest incidents, the U.S. base in Tanf in southeastern Syria and the U.S. base in the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor countryside were targeted. Additionally, the center of the U.S. forces’ presence at the al-Hakmiah agricultural airport in Mayhat was attacked, targeting the village of Khirbet Adnan in the Malikiyah area of Hasakeh with drones.

New targets on U.S. bases in Syria

Currently, on Sunday, a coordinated campaign targeted three U.S. bases in Syria, focusing on headquarters and bases in the eastern and southeastern regions of the country.

Reports from Athr Press correspondents in eastern Syria confirm that drones targeted the U.S. base in -Tanf in southeastern Syria.

Prior to this incident, Athr Press correspondents had earlier informed about a drone attack on the center of the U.S. forces’ presence at Hakmiah Agricultural Airport in the village of Khirbet Adnan in the Malikiyah area of Hasakeh. Following this, another drone attack occurred on the U.S. base in the Omar oil field in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.
