Cabinet Approves Plan to Rehabilitate Schools Damaged by Terrorism

The Syrian government has announced plans to rehabilitate schools in the Raqqa countryside with a fund of 3.7 billion Syrian pounds writes SANA.

In its weekly session on Sunday, chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet decided to reactivate governmental departments in the Raqqa countryside and ensure the return of employees to the areas that have been liberated from terrorism. 

The Cabinet charged the Local Administration and Environment Ministry with carrying out the necessary coordination with the bodies concerned to restore basic services in the liberated areas and start a development plan, focusing on the optimal investment in agriculture needed in those areas. 

The Cabinet approved the plans of the Education Ministry and the Local Administration and Environment Ministry for rehabilitating and restoring schools damaged by terrorism, with the total value of funds allocated for this purpose during 2018/2019 amounting to 3.7 billion Syrian pounds.
