Nine Regime Troops Killed in Idleb

At least nine regime troops were killed in a missile attack launched by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in Idleb province, the group’s propaganda agency said Monday.

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militants rocked the army battalion with the US-made TOW missile, east of Idleb city, Ebaa agency reported.

Eleven more troops were wounded in the attack.

Idleb city is under the control of Tahrir al-Sham, a bloc of Islamist militant factions spearheaded by Syria’s former al-Qaeda affiliate, and has long been targeted by bombings and assassinations.

Since the Syrian revolution erupted in 2011, more than 560,000 people have been killed, and more than six million people have been displaced.
