Russian Aid Arrives in Latakia

25 tons of humanitarian aid arrives in Latakia

Two Russian planes loaded with 25 tons of humanitarian aid for the Syrian people arrived at Bassel Airport in Latakia Tuesday and  was received by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in the province.


Latakia Governor Ahmad Sheikh Abdulkader said the Syrian people appreciate Russian support in facing global terrorism.


The Head of the Consular Department in the Russian Embassy in Damascus said that the aid provision will continue, adding that Russia is working to help meet all the basic needs of the Syrian people until peace prevails in Syria.
