Most European countries are now seeking new communications channels with Syria after the suspension of diplomatic relations, State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar said on Monday.
In a press statement following a meeting with the director of the Middle East and North Africa department at the Polish Foreign Ministry, Haidar said they had discussed the latest developments, prospects for a political solution, the international conference due to be held in Geneva, and the European role in preparing the conference.
