Footage has surfaced on the Internet showing militants of Hezbollah, Iran's proxy, killing wounded rebels in Quasayr, a Syrian town on the border of Lebanon.
'”We are killing them for the sake of God,'”one of the militants said [in the video]. Without any mercy, several bullets were fired intothe rebel’s head, and at least three wounded fighters from the Free Syrian Army were killed.
The veteran dissident BassamJa'ara, based in London, told the Saudi satellite channel Al Arabiyathat, “We can't be blamed for any extreme act [of revenge] after this video.” The footage aroused anger among many Syrians,and activists expressed their dismay and sadness.
One Syrian writer, commented“Who sows seeds of hatred will harvest fruits of hatred, so Hezbollah will face increasing anger that may grow to negatively affect Lebanese-Syrian relations.”
