Inmates Released in Edlib Province After Amnesty

Younes said the decree is an opportunity for inmates to go back to their normal life

The Attorney General of Edlib province, Ibrahim Younes, said that 91 inmates have been released pursuant to the legislative decree No 22 for the year 2014 which provided a general amnesty on crimes committed before 9 June, 2014.

 

In a statement to SANA, Younes said the decree is an opportunity for inmates to go back to their normal life and play their role in society.

 

The Governor of Edlib Province, Safwan Abu Sadi, pointed out the role of the decree in bolstering the positive and moral values being a turning point in the lives of inmates who were included in the decree.

 

Yesterday, 50 inmates were released according to the amnesty decree in Homs province, in addition to other 124 in Daraa.
