Director of the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Political Bureau, Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi said an initiative was signed on Saturday to evacuate Yarmouk Camp in Damascus from weapons and gunmen to end the suffering of the families there.
The initiative was sponsored by the Syrian state and the PLO.
“The agreement guarantees evacuating the camp from weapon and gunmen and settle cases of those who want to make use of the Amnesty decree issued by President Bashar Assad, paving the way from lifting roadblocks, debris and mines,” Abdul-Hadi said in a statement to SANA.
He said the solution needs the will and credibility of the PLO and the Syrian State, but hoped other sides enjoy such credibility to end the suffering of residents from Syria and Palestine.
Abdul-Hadi added that ceasefire in the camp began on Saturday evening.
