Kurdish media sources have reported that the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) has released about 15 Kurdish students who were abducted while returning from Aleppo to Kobani after exams.
The sources confirmed that ISIS exchanged the Kurdish students with three ISIS prisoners.
In the second phase, ISIS will release all the students, in exchange for all ISIS prisoners in Kobani, according to Kurdish Bass News Network.
ISIS kidnapped nearly 150 Kurdish students near the bridge of Kara Kozaks, 37 km south of Kobani, while returning from Aleppo to Kobani after their exams. They were then transferred to the city of Manbej and detained in one of the city's schools.
