The United States and its allies launched new airstrikes on the headquarters and positions of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization in the northern province of Raqqa early on Monday.

Residents told a SANA reporter that the airstrikes hit IS targets in Ratla village, eastern of Raqqa city and al-Sehle in the western countryside of the province.

The U.S. and its allies also carried out airstrikes against IS sites in the countryside, in the Yaroubiya area of Hassakeh province.
