Brigadier Mahmoud Ali (Abu al-Abbas), commander of regime operations in Sheikh Miskeen, Daraa, has been killed during the liberation of Brigade 82. A colonel was also captured while attempting to escape the battlefield.

 

Mahmoud Ali, who died on Saturday, was considered one of the prominent leaders of Assad's forces in Daraa province.

 

In a televised statement, the commander of al-Omari Brigades announced that dozens of regime's soldiers had been killed in the fighting.


 

Activist Ahmed ad-Dairi confirmed Brigadier Ahmed Hamidoush, Commander of Brigade 82 air defense, was captured by rebels. A Siraj Press correspondent in Daraa said information received from the cities of Izraa and Sanamayn confirmed dozens of dead and wounded fighters belonging to the regime arrived at the military hospital in Sanamayn following heavy fighting in the north of the province.
