Coordination Commission May Not Participate In Moscow 2

The National Coordination Committee for the Forces of Democratic Change in Syria claims the group may refuse to participate in the second round of talks in Moscow in April if the invitation does not include anything new, according to head of the committee’s Information Office, Munther Khaddam.

Khaddam said in an interview with the ar-Rai Kuwaiti newspaper that “no one in the committee had yet received an invitation to visit Moscow, and I think that if there isn't anything new, the committee will probably not attend".

Khaddam noted, "After the invitations arrive and we understand the content of this meeting, the Executive Office will discuss the options and take the appropriate decision". Regarding the collective resignation of members of the Coordination Committee, Khaddam said that the member in the Executive Office, Haytham Manna, may be behind the resignations of the 35 members.

Haytham Manna recently announced the formation of a new movement called "Kameh", which Manna considers a cultural movement, not a political one, but Khaddam stressed that the movement’s founding statement suggests otherwise.
