Syria has strongly condemned the terrorist operations which recently targeted the Algerian people and army, affirming its support for the Algerian government and leadership in confronting Takfiri terrorism.
An official source at the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that the ministry strongly condemns the recent terrorist acts and reiterates its solidarity with the Algerian government and people.
The source said that Syria, which has faced terrorism, extremism, and Takfiri mentality for years, offers its sincerest condolences to the people, government, and Foreign Ministry of Algeria and to the families of the victims, voicing confidence in Algeria’s inevitable victory over terrorism.
The source also noted that Syria had often warned that terrorism would spread through the region and the world and will threaten security, stability, and human civilization.
Syria has called for an honest, unified, and serious effort to combat terrorism, dry up its sources of funding, confront the Takfiri mentality that fuels terrorism, and implement the Security Council’s counterterrorism resolutions, the source concluded.
