Russian Air Raids Hit 51 Rebel Targets in Syria

Strikes target positions in Hama, Lattakia, and Damascus as regime launches Russian-backed offensive in southern Aleppo

Russian warplanes carried out 39 sorties on 51 Islamic State targets in under 24 hours, the Russia Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

The strikes targeted positions in the Hama, Lattakia, Damascus and Aleppo regions, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, Fateh Halab (Conquest of Aleppo), an alliance of Islamist groups operating in the northern province called for 'general alarm’ as regime troops and allied Shiite militias, backed by Russian jets, launched a major offensive on southern countryside of Aleppo.
