Mainstream Media Neglects Syrian Victims of Beirut Bombings

Lebanese and international media organizations have widely neglected to acknowledge Syrian casualties in last Thursday's suicide attacks

At least 18 Syrians were killed in the suicide attack on the Burj el-Barajneh neighborhood in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, sources have revealed.

The sources indicated that among the victims were four civilians from Idleb province – two from Maarrat an-Numan, one from Hafsarja, and one other from Natef. The victims’ bodies were transferred to their hometowns in the countryside of Idleb via a private transport company operating between Syria and Lebanon.

The attack, which was carried out by a number of suicide bombers, targeted the southern suburb of Beirut, killing at least 40 people. Lebanese and international media organizations have neglected to acknowledge Syrian casualties in the bombing.
