Assad Joins Iftar Celebrations With Syrian Army Heroes at Marj al-Sultan

President Bashar al-Assad partook in iftar celebrations with several army heroes during a visit to the front lines of Eastern Ghouta in the Damascus countryside on Sunday.

Assad visited Syrian soldiers at the Marj al-Sultan Airport after they achieved a number of victories against terrorist organizations which attacked locals and destroyed property and infrastructure in the area.

Members of the armed forces affirmed their determination to continue fighting until every inch of Syria is liberated from terrorist organizations and all Syrians can return to normal life.

Assad said during the celebration that the meal was “the most delicious” he had eaten in his life.
