UK Admits Role in US Strikes on Syrian Army Positions

Britain acknowledges participation in US coalition strikes on Syrian army sites in Deir-ez-Zor last week

Britain has confirmed that its military participated in the recent strike launched on Syrian army positions in Deir-ez-Zor province.

The British Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday that its aircrafts participated in the aggression carried out by its US ally on sites for the Syrian army in Deir-ez-Zor on Saturday.

The Syrian army’s general command said in a statement on Saturday that US coalition aircrafts targeted a Syrian army position in the Al-Tharda mountain surrounding Deir-ez-Zor Airport, killing scores and paving the way for Islamic State militants to seize control of the area.
