Russian security source confirms Admiral Grigorovich frigate en route to support fleet in the Mediterranean

The Russian navy is sending the Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate to join the aircraft carrier group near Syrian shores, a Russian security source announced Thursday.

The arrival of the frigate to the Mediterranean Sea will reinforce the Admiral Kuznetsov fleet in the region, Russia Today website quoted the source as saying.

The frigate is capable of firing cruise missiles to targets in the sea and land up to 600 km away.
