Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday that intense preparations are underway for the upcoming Syrian talks in the Kazakh capital Astana.
According to Sputnik news agency, Peskov said: “It is unclear how long the talks will last, preparation is quite intensive, we can say nothing more specific now.”
He added that Russia would be represented at the talks “at the expert level.”
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s foreign ministry announced it had completed preparations to host the talks, noting that the issues to be discussed at the meeting will depend on the participants.
