Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Wednesday visited the roads at the northern entrance of Damascus city following the completion of repairs by the Transport Ministry.
Khamis was briefed by the project’s supervisors about the work, complementing the efforts of all those who contributed to the project.
He also stressed that the government will continue construction and repair work for all public utilities to improve services for citizens.
The reconstruction project was carried out within a single month and at high technical standards, ensuring smooth traffic flow and safety, according to Transport Minister Ali Hammoud. He added that the area connects Damascus and the southern part of Syria with the central, northern and eastern provinces, with tens of thousands of vehicles using the road on daily basis.
