Deep Explosion Shakes Regime Base in Southern Aleppo Countryside

Local sources said that a huge explosion occurred in an Assad forces base in the southern Aleppo countryside that includes militias loyal to Iran.

The sources said that the explosion occurred in the Jabal Azan base in the southern Aleppo countryside under regime control.

Jabal Azan is one of the most important bases which include Iranian forces and Shia militias fighting alongside President Bashar al-Assad's regime.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a major explosion shook the southern part of the Aleppo countryside.

The Observatory added that the explosion occurred in an area in which Iranian forces are located, alongside the Afghan Fatimioun militia.

The reason for the explosions are not yet known. It is also not known if it resulted from an explosion in the forces' warehouses or if it was an airstrike by planes on Iranian forces' positions and the Fatimioun brigades.

There was no information about the material or human losses resulting from the explosion.

Regime forces and their allies have continued a state of mobilization in areas under their control, in anticipation of being targeted again by the United States, France and Britain, who struck during the early hours of Saturday scientific research centers in Jamaraya north of Damascus and Barzeh northwest of the capital, as well as warehouses belonging to the 4th Division and the Republican Guard in the Al-Mezzeh military air base area and warehouses in the Al-Kasweh area in the southern countryside of the capital, as well as a research center in the Homs suburbs.

Heavy explosions were heard in Eastern Qalamoun, while no missiles fell on the Al-Dameer or Al-Naseriyeh military air bases.
