The U.S. and its allies are complicit in conspiring against Syria and shedding Syrians' blood, through positions and statements that aim to provide a political cover to the armed terrorist groups in Syria, a foreign ministry source said.
Meanwhile, the source said the Syrian armed forces have been doing their duty in protecting Syrian citizens and restoring security and stability all over Syria.
Speaking to SANA on Thursday, the source said "these countries have launched disinformation and slander campaigns by making statements that aim at incitement against the Syrian government against the backdrop of ongoing military operations to restore security and stability to Homs city and combat terrorism of armed groups.''
The source added these countries have remained silent over the crimes of the terrorist groups who terrorized civilians in Homs city, drove them out of their homes and used some as human shields, all under the eyes of the world.
They include hypocrite states that feign concern for the lives of Syrians, while offering military and logistical support to armed groups to prolong violence and terrorism in the country, the source said.
"The Syrian government is upholding its constitutional duties to protect the safety of its citizens and provide security and stability and combat terrorism, and is doing everything in its power to ensure the safety of civilians all over Syria," the source said.
