Turkey has expressed resentment to the Syrian opposition over the representation of Free Syrian Army in the ongoing meetings of the Syrian National Coalition, saying the presence of two delegations may raise problems on its land, sources said.
Turkish officials told Khaled al-Khoja, Coalition representative in Istanbul, that Ankara is eager to solve the rifts between the FSA’s Chiefs of Staff to reach a proper solution, according to sources.
The rifts between the Supreme Military Council and key opposition group escalated two months ago when Hadi al-Bahra, the Coalition leader, dismissed the council and appointed a new one under the leadership of Brigadier Abdulillah al-Bashir, instead of Selim Idriss.
The members of the sacked council said the dismissal decision is out of Bahra’s powers.
In related developments, Zaman al-Wasl sources said officials from Qatar in Turkey agreed on Ahmed Toumeh, head of caretaker government, to lead the new Interim Government.
The Coalition political commission dismissed Toumeh government two months ago over a series of criticisms. But the regional countries appeared to back the former imam and dentist.
