Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian asserted Tuesday that Tehran and Moscow are closely and jointly following up the strategy of supporting Syria in combating terrorism.
During a meeting with Russia’s ambassador in Tehran, Levan Dzhagaryan, Abdollahian stressed the need to eliminate terrorism, adding that Iran supports all measures that would lead to enhanced security and stability in the region.
He added that developing cordial relations between Iran and Russia, particularly on the parliamentary level, serves the interests of the two countries.
