The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov said that the Syrian opposition is responsible for the delay in holding a scheduled international conference on Syria in Geneva.
In an interview with CBS TV, Lavrov said that U.S. officials admit that the Syrian National Coalition is not ready to negotiate and cannot even decide who to represent it.
He criticized U.S. media which said that Russia is supporting a "losing horse," saying it was "impertinent" to describe the tragic situation in Syria in such terms.
