Syrian and Iranian military leaders discussed strategic cooperation between the two countries’ armies in order to tackle regional challenges and threats facing the region and the world.
Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij met with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Dehghan and other Iranian military leaders in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Tuesday.
Freij, currently heading a two-day military delegation to Iran, was welcomed by an official ceremony, where the defense minister laid a wreath on the Martyr’s Memorial as the national anthems of Syria and Iran were played.
