Syria to Turkey: No Aid Will Enter Aleppo Without Coordination

Syria has rejected plans to allow any humanitarian aid, especially provided by the Turkey, to enter Aleppo without the coordination of the Syrian government and the United Nations, a foreign ministry source stated on Tuesday.

The source said that Syria has refused to allow materials disguised as humanitarian aid to enter Aleppo city, regardless of who provides them, without coordination with the Syrian government and the UN.

The source noted that any military operation carried out by the Turkish air force over Syrian territory under the pretext of fighting the Islamic State group, without coordination with Damascus and Moscow, constitutes a flagrant aggression on Syria and a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It added that Turkey cannot claim to be combating terrorism in Syria, especially in Aleppo, because it provided unlimited support for terrorism which caused vast destruction in the city.

“Since the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, Turkey has always provided support to the armed terrorist organizations and supplied them with money, arms, not to mention harboring terrorists, assisting them and bringing mercenaries from all over the world to murder the Syrian people and destroy their country,” the source said.
