Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met on Sunday with the President of the Joint Syrian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce Kiwan Kashefiy to discuss economic cooperation relations and increasing trade exchange between Syria and Iran.

Both sides affirmed the importance of opening new horizons for cooperation to face the economic siege imposed on Syria and Iran, and they highlighted the key role of the private sector in enhancing economic cooperation due to its capabilities, expertise and flexibility in the field.

Arnous underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between economic and trade activities through equipping factories, establishing joint projects and exchanging goods to meet the needs of the two countries’ markets.

For their part, heads and members of the Iranian delegation expressed the desire of many Iranian companies to work in the Syrian market, raise the level of economic and trade relations, and exchange visits of trade delegations between the two countries.
