On Wednesday, a leader of the SDF militia was killed after being ambushed by unknown assailants in the countryside of Ain Issa town, in the northern countryside of Raqqa. 

A Zaitun media agency correspondent said that unidentified men wearing the special uniforms of the SDF set up a roadblock on the road between the towns of al-Tarwazia and al-Haba, north of Raqqa.

Our correspondent added that the checkpoint stopped a car carrying the leader of the SDF militia nicknamed “Kobani Sniper” and shot him. He was killed instantly.

Our correspondent pointed out that the perpetrators managed to escape with the car of the leader who was killed. Meanwhile, the SDF militia mobilized in the area and arrested a civilian who was at the scene during the operation.

According to sources from Zaitun Agency, Kobani Sniper holds a leading position in the General Security and Intelligence Service of the SDF militias in Hassakeh. 

On Tuesday, a leader of the SDF militia was killed when an explosive device exploded in his car in the northeastern countryside of Hassakeh. 

Local sources said that an explosive device exploded in the car of the leader of the al-Sanadid Forces of the SDF, Hussein Muhallab al-Hassan, which led to his death.

The al-Sandid militia was founded after the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in March 2011 and includes a large number of tribesmen in Deir-ez-Zor. It is led by Hamidi al-Daham al-Jarba, allied with SDF, and spread throughout large areas of the Yarubiyah countryside on the Iraqi-Syrian border.
