Eleven civilians were killed and 25 wounded in air raids carried out by Russian warplanes on Saturday on an opposition-held town in Idleb province.
A civil defense official in Idleb province, Wathaq Herak, told the Anadolu news agency that the Russian bombardment hit a medical storehouse and civil defense bases that fall within residential areas in the Tarmanein town of the province.
According to Herak, the bombardment caused damage to homes and cars and led to fires breaking out in civilian residences.
The Russian strikes coincided with the start of the Lausanne meetings in Switzerland around Syria, with the participation of foreign diplomats from nine countries, including the US, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as UN envoy Staffan de Mistura.
Since the regime announced the end of the truce on September 18 after a ceasefire that lasted no more than seven days, its forces and Russian warplanes have been carrying out continuous air raids on the districts of Aleppo under opposition control, killing and wounding hundreds of civilians, including women and children.
