The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed regret on Tuesday that the U.S. has postponed a meeting at The Hague on Syria, scheduled to held on Wednesday.
"We regret that our partners have decided not to meet in bilateral format Rus-US to discuss the convocation of an int'l conference on #Syria," Deputy Russian Foreign Minister, Gennady Gatilov said on Twitter.
Gatilov said that setting standards for a political settlement in Syria was useful, particularly given the current troubled situation, with the specter of a military campaign looming.
The U.S. State Department announced the postponement of the Russian-U.S. meeting on Tuesday.
