Foreign fighters not aligned with ISIS have found themselves in a difficult position in Aleppo and Idlib, as people are afraid of non-Syrian fighters, especially after a series of suicide attacks against Syrian civilians. The foreign fighters are worried for their lives, although people are trying to calm them down.
Witnesses said that many ISIS leaders have escaped to the Shiite village of Foaa, in the countryside of Idlib, after the liberation of regiment number 46.
Foaa is considered a stronghold for Hezbollah militias and Iraqi Shiite fighters, and the opposition fighters had planned to storm village, but changed their mind many times out of concern for the safety of civilians in the village.
But as ISIS leaders hide in the village, Syrian rebels in the area are thinking seriously of liberating it in the upcoming days, whilst not ignoring the safety of civilians living there.
