Al-Qaeda’s Syrian offshoot, the Nusra Front, backed by rebel factions thwarted a regime attack on the town of Tal Hadya in the southern countryside of Aleppo province on Monday.
Zaman al-Wasl’s correspondent said rebels and jihadist groups inflicted heavy losses on regime troops and their Shiite allies in the town of Tal Hadya.
Nusra reported on earlier on Saturday the group had captured three Lebanese Hezbollah fighters in northern Syria.
Meanwhile, Syria's state news agency reported on Monday that Hezbollah war correspondent Fadi Yassin was killed while covering the battles in Aleppo.
