Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi denied has media allegations about the evacuation of state institutions in Aleppo city.
A number of social media sites and television channels have circulated news that institutions are being evacuated in Aleppo while some officials are leaving the city.
Speaking to the Syrian Al Ekhbariya TV channel by phone, Zoubi officially denied the allegations while confirming government institutions, hospitals, schools and universities in Aleppo are operating as usual.
All the administrative, military and security officials remain on duty there, Zoubi added.
The minister hailed the resilience of the people of Aleppo, who came under terrorist rocket fire in the neighborhoods of al-Suleimaniyeh, al-Sayyed Ali and al-Khaldiyeh last Saturday.
Many civilians were killed and scores of others were injured in the attacks, which also left massive damage to property.
Such “rumors”, Zoubi stressed, will not shake the people of Aleppo’s determination to stand their ground until victory over terrorism is achieved.
The minister also dismissed statements by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs alleging the Syrian army has entered and is shelling the terrorism-afflicted Yarmouk camp.
He claimed the allegations are totally baseless, stating they will not influence the Syrian leadership’s “wise” methods for dealing with the situation in the camp.
The terrorist-besieged Yarmouk camp recently came under attack by ISIS and the Nusra Front.
Zoubi put the number of Syrian and Palestinian residents still inside Yarmouk camp at under 6,000, noting that those who have left the neighborhood were relocated to makeshift centers.
