Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov strongly criticized the statements on the responsibility of the Syrian government forces for the terrorist attack which targeted Aleppo University on Tuesday, describing them as "repulsive and unscrupulous".
In a press conference in Dushanbe, the Tajik capital, on Thursday, Lavrov said " I saw on CNN that they say that the Syrian government forces are the ones that committed this terrorist act in Aleppo. I cannot imagine a more repulsive and unscrupulous talk than that."
Responding to a question on the possibility that the difference in interpreting the events in Aleppo could affect the Russian-US relations, Lavrov said "I cannot understand how a terrorist act could be a pretext for differences," reminding that heads of many countries and the UN described the events in Aleppo as a terrorist act.
