Israel will pay the price for its aggression against Syria, assistant foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said during a meeting with the Syrian ambassador to Iran, Adnan Mahmoud Monday.
"Israel's flagrant aggression aimed to compensate for the losses suffered by the armed terrorist groups in Syria, after the heavy strikes they suffered at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army," Abdullahian said.
He said Israeli aggression against a number of military sites in Syrian territory early Sunday served to boost Iran's support for its Syrian ally in the face of the hostile plots against it.
Mahmoud underlined the strong correlation between terrorist organizations and Israel, along with its regional and Western allies, which he said support terrorism to promote the Israeli agenda in the region.
He went further to say events over the last decade in the region have proven that the resistance bloc remains a powerful axis, capable of defending against the U.S.-Israeli agenda.
