A conference on "The role of intellectuals in boosting Syrian resolve" condemned the U.S. role in instigating violence in Syria through supporting the infidel armed terrorist groups.
"The U.S., Zionists and their allies Britain, Turkey, France, along with their tools in the Gulf support terrorism in attempts to overthrow the Syrian state and destroy its geopolitical role within the axis of resistance," Syrian and Iranian intellectuals said in a final statement issued at the conclusion of the two-day conference.
The participants also condemned the acts of violence carried out by the armed Islamists groups, encouraged and financed by the U.S. and Zionism in order to spread chaos and market an extremist mentality as part of a plot against Syria.
The final statement recognized the moral, principled role of Iran and Russia, which offer unlimited support to the struggle by the Syrian people and deal with the crisis in Syria.
The participants confirmed they wilol continue to help the Syrian people confront the international conspiracy.
