The Syrian government has announced it will be attending the upcoming National Dialogue Congress in the Russian resort city of Sochi.
In a statement to SANA on Sunday, an official Foreign Ministry source said that consecutive victories achieved by the Syrian army and its allies have paved the way for the political track and intra-Syrian dialogue.
It added that the Syrian government welcomes the talks in Sochi, which will include the participation of many segments of Syrian society.
The source said that the government also welcomes the founding of a committee to review the Syrian constitution and discuss holding legislative elections under U.N. supervision.
