A well-informed source has told Zaman Al-Wasl that the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria plans to establish a new political party in the country along moderate principles.
Party founders include prior members of the Syrian National Council, including Mohamad Walid and Simon Maajon, a Christian dissident.
The source confirmed that on Tuesday the group will start three days of meetings in Istanbul to establish the foundations of the party.
The party will enforce democratic values, emphasizing coexistence and tolerance.
One third of the members so far are from the Muslim Brotherhood, with some Christian figures also joining.
