Syria Welcomes Withdrawal of Armed Groups

Syria has welcomed the withdrawal of armed groups in northern Syria to a depth of 30 kilometers, through the direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, affirming that this step ends the main pretext of the brutal Turkish aggression on the Syrian territories. 

On Sunday, an official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement to SANA that, “The Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the withdrawal of armed groups in northern Syria to a depth of 30 kilometers through direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army.” 

The source added that “The Syrian Arab Republic affirms that this withdrawal ends the basic pretext of the brutal Turkish aggression on its territories, and at the same time it affirms that Syria is for all, in a way that guarantees the security and safety of the diverse national fabric with regards to the rights and duties.” 

The source affirmed that Syria will work to embrace its citizens and provide aid to them in a way that guarantees their integration into Syrian society again and opens the door for the return of Syrian national unity as a land and people.
