SDF Militia Raids Towns, Abducts Civilians, Set up New Checkpoints in Northeast Syria

A government media is accusing the SDF of raiding cities and towns in the northeast and forcing men into conscription

Over the past hours, the ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ militia [ Its Arabic acronym is QASAD] has raided Ras al-Ayn city in the northern countryside of Hassakeh, al-Jasemi town in the northeastern countryside of Der Ezzor , Ayn Issa in the northern countryside of Raqqa and Manbej in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.

The raids resulted in the abduction of many civilians and taking them to unknown place to join the compulsory service to support the SDF militia, according to local sources.

The sources affirmed that burglaries and looting operations have increased in SDF-held areas where several members of the separatist militia were killed and injured when unknown persons fired RPG rockets on one of the SDF checkpoints in the town of Fatseh in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

Further, SDF militia’s members were killed and injured in the blast of three explosive devices that were planted by unknown persons at the northern entrance of Shadadi in the southern countryside of Hassakeh and in Keshkeyeh in the southeastern countryside of Der Ezzor as well as near Shoeb in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

The SDF militia set up additional military checkpoints at the main roads and entrances of towns and villages with the support of the U.S. occupation forces.
