Among Them a Leader & a Colonel. “Shaam” Monitors Death of Assad Soldiers in Daraa, Badia

Shaam Network has monitored the deaths of at least six soldiers of varying military ranks – including a leader in the ranks of the regime militias distributed to several areas in Daraa, Tartus and the Syrian Badia, Colonel Ahmed Jaloudi, who was killed under undisclosed circumstances.

News pages loyal to the Assad regime mourned Ahmed Faisal al-Saleh, as he came under fire by unknown assailants at a military post. According to the pages, the post was shared by the regime’s army and the so-called “rebel forces” on the Jaba – Umm Batinah road in the Daraa countryside in central Syria.

Sources reported that Saleh is a leader in the regime’s ranks, where he leads a local group affiliated with the Hezbollah terrorist militia that operates in the area. Saleh had previously been the target of an assassination attempt last year, which involved an explosive device. It confirmed that the latest attack killed Saleh and seriously injured his companion Mohammed al-Ar.

A lieutenant, Firas Ahmed Nasr from the town of Safasa in Tartous governorate, died in an explosion that also killed and wounded several regime forces in eastern Syria.

According to loyalist media sources, the soldier Ibrahim Kanaan, who is from the Tal Kalakh area of the western countryside of Homs, died after a car accident at the M Housh junction in the Tartous countryside. Sources reported that meanwhile, in Daraa, regime forces members Saleh al-Wasmi and Subhi al Awwad were also killed.

It should be noted that regime militias frequently suffer deaths and injuries, including officers and military commanders. Most notably, these attacks occur on the fronts of Idleb, Aleppo and Lattakia, while attacks and explosions occur against military positions across Syrian Badia.
