Residents of the al-Izba town in the northern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor held protests against the practices of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for the fifth day in a row.

On Wednesday, residents in Izba demonstrated against the practices of the SDF forces. They protested against the difficult living conditions of the people in these areas, sources told Baladi News.

The sources added that the town’s elders intervened to end the protests, but the demonstrators refused to welcome them in an expression of their anger.

The sources confirmed that the demonstrators cut off roads with burning tires, refusing to end their protests until their demands were met.

On February 12th, residents of al-Busaira town in the eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor protested against SDF’s practices in the city.

At the time, the city witnessed popular protests by residents and the closure of roads with burning tires against the recent SDF practice against civilians

The protesters then cut off the main street linking Busaira and the Village of al-Sabha, after a child was killed and his father injured by SDF members during a security operation carried out by SDF forces in the city.
