Local resources, asked not to reveal their identities, have told "Russia Today" that the bombardment, assumed to be started by Israel, aimed at Bashar's forces locations to encompassed brigades 104 and 105 of Republic Guards scattered between Gemraya, Kudseia, Al- Hama and Al- Sabboura regions in the countryside of Damascus.
The bombardment, which took place during Saturday night, targeted also an ammunition store belonging to the Fourth Brigade in the same region, aside from targeting a research center in Gemraya.
The resource mentioned that 300 persons were killed, most of them are soldiers, in addition to many others wounded divided between Al- Muasat hospital, 601 military hospital, Al-Assad university hospital and A- Mujtahed hospital.
These information corresponded with the news came from Syrian activists about major explosions in the mountains surrounding Damascus as in Al- Hama and Kaseioun and it is well-known that the Republic Guards and the Fourth Brigade have major headquarters there.
