The founder of the Free Syrian Army Riyadh Al-Asaad has lashed out at all opposition forces in Syria, including Syrian National Council and the Syrian National Coalition, saying none have helped in his medical recovery.
"Unfortunately I did not receive any call from the council, nor the coalition… not even the Chiefs of Staff of the Syrian Free Army," Asaad said.
Asaad denied that people from Kuwait or other Gulf countries have offered to pay for the medical treatment for the injuries he sustained in an assassination attempt in Turkey, in which he lost a leg, but expressed gratitude to Turkey for covering his medical costs.
Asked about his current medical situation, Asaad said he was optimistic.
"Thanks be to God, my health is fine and I am now walking using a crutch. I am still in the hospital and have not fitted a prosthetic leg," he said.
