Syrian army units killed and injured scores of terrorists in Homs and its countryside Tuesday, also destroying large amounts of weapons and ammunition.
An official source told SANA that an army unit seized a vehicle loaded with 50 explosive devices on the Rastan-Salamiyeh highway and killed its occupants.
The source said another army unit destroyed a site used for making explosives in Rastan city, also killing terrorists hiding inside.
Meanwhile, the army continued its pursuit of armed terrorist groups operating in villages around Qusayr. The army ambushed terrorist operations, killing and arresting dozens in the villages of Deibeh and Dmaineh al-Gharbieh.
In Homs city, the army chased other terrorist groups in the areas of Jorat, al-Shayyah and al-Qsour, killing and injuring all those operating there.
The army also inflicted heavy losses on the armed terrorist groups in the Damascus countryside, killing many of their leaders.
An official source told SANA that three factories used to make explosives and mortar shells were destroyed in Douma city, adding that the army had eliminated four terrorists near the National hospital there. Among those killed was the terrorist leader, Diaa Ghunaima.
The source said that an army unit clashed with another terrorist group near the Thanawieh roundabout in Douma, killing dozens of terrorists, including the group's leader, Mohamad Selleh.
