All4Syria has been told that State Security branch number 285 released on Wednesday evening 23 female detainees.
The detainees have already faced trial without sentence but remained in custody as part of an exchange deal for Hezbollah members kidnapped in Aleppo.
Among those released are journalist Shaza Mdad and activist Majd Sharbatji.
The security branch is infamous for inhuman treatment. Three women remain incarcerated including Iman al-Jarak, Abeer Rafeh and Lawahez Sattour.
