An unknown armed group kidnapped rebel commander in Manbij, in northern Syria, local sources have told Zaman al-Wasl.
The announcement of the missing of Sheikh Mohamed al-Kanj, leader of Ashab al-Yamin brigade came after an argument between Kanj and the Emir of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) in the northern town, near Aleppo.
Rebel groups of Manbij and Jrabulus denounced the abduction without any reference to ISIS, in a statement issued on Thursday.
