The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati, met with Syria's Ambassador to Tehran, Adnan Mahmoud, on Monday to discuss expanding cultural and intellectual cooperation.
The pair discussed the establishment of joint cultural projects and the possibility of holding cultural symposiums, fairs and festivals.
Both parties expressed the importance of conducting joint work through the cultural establishments in Syria and Iran to promote ethical, humanitarian and cultural values as a fundamental means to face terror and extremism.
Jannati expressed his ministry's readiness to offer all expertise to Syrian cultural establishments to enhance their role in facing the destructive terrorist threat, which targets cultural and humanitarian values.
